As part of the national "Green Legacy" program, the Oromia region has announced a massive initiative to plant 120 million tea shrubs this year .

This ambitious project aims to:

Increase vegetation cover and support agricultural development .

Boost the local economy, particularly around the city of Jimma, where tea cultivation is already a promising activity .

Improve the livelihoods of our communities.

Key Objectives

• With 3,400 hectares already prepared and new tea processing equipment being installed, Oromia is committed to enhancing production and adding value to this key agricultural product .
• Together, we are building a greener and more prosperous Oromia!
