The Oromia Bureau of Agriculture is committed to advancing modern agricultural development, increasing agricultural productivity and production, ensuring food security, and improving the livelihoods of farmers and pastoralist communities across the region.
Agriculture is the foundation of our economy, a major source of livelihoods, and a cornerstone of sustainable development and prosperity. Our priorities include promoting modern agricultural technologies, encouraging innovation, delivering quality agricultural services, and strengthening collaboration among government institutions, the private sector, development partners, research institutions, and communities.
We are dedicated to providing transparent, accountable, efficient, and inclusive public services. Through digital transformation, research-based development, improved agricultural extension services, and timely access to reliable information, we aim to build a modern, resilient, competitive, and sustainable agricultural sector.
We recognize that achieving meaningful agricultural transformation requires collective commitment, innovation, strong partnerships, and shared responsibility. We therefore encourage all stakeholders to contribute their knowledge, expertise, experience, and resources toward building a productive, climate-resilient, and sustainable agricultural system.
