🌱 Strengthening Seed Systems for Oromia's Farmers!
The Oromia Bureau of Agriculture (BoA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and other partners, recently hosted a regional stakeholders' consultative workshop to reinitiate Direct Seed Marketing (DSM) .
Key issues addressed included:

Addressing challenges in seed distribution and illegal trading .

Boosting the adoption of certified seeds, which currently stands at 9.5% .

Streamlining the seed marketing system and limiting unnecessary interference .
The Bureau is committed to ensuring that farmers have timely access to high-quality, affordable seeds. By working together with all stakeholders, we are paving the way for a more efficient and effective seed system, leading to increased productivity and food security .
