Oromia's Agricultural sector is undergoing a major transformation in response to growing food demand, population pressure, climate change, land degradation, changing markets, and the need to create sustainable livelihoods and economic opportunities.

With its diverse agro-ecological potential, extensive livestock resources, fertile land, and large farming population, the region is accelerating the adoption of modern technologies and improved agricultural practices to strengthen food security, increase productivity, supply agro-industries, and expand high-value production for domestic and export markets.

Agriculture in Oromia offers significant opportunities for farmers, cooperatives, agribusinesses, investors, processors, traders, exporters, and other actors across the value chain.
